Paint Probs
Hi guys ,avin some probs with paint over the last couple of days,The prob is i print screen and alt tab to desktop,open Paint and paste,but all i get is a black picture or black square where the screenie shub be.Any ideas guys Thx in advance ODIN

use xfire to take screenshots and this happened to me before

Use Ctrl-PrintScreen m8, not just PrintScreen.

Have you got any other program running that might be intercepting keystrokes? For example any other screen capture program?? Check what Task Manager says is running.

Oh yeah - and ditch Vista and go back to XP. Think of returning to Vista when SP2 comes out. Same goes for any rubbish issued from Redmond.

ive got the same problems as odin i reckon it is to do with vista but i cant downgrade as it is the familys comp any other suggestions of how to record my wins which are acceptable

You could try using another program. For example, PhotoPlus from Serif has a screen capture facility - default is F11 but you can change it to be any other function key. To use it, you must have PhotoPlus running but if you have a decent machine that should not prevent RTW from running. Since M2TW consumes vastly more resources than RTW you would need an even more decent machine!! I think there is another screen capture prog called FRAPS and that might also work for you.

Dont use fraps casue it screws up xfire!

The funny thing about my paint prob is it used to work in vista and i could do screenies,but in last few days i can't ODIN

vista ^^ just use the good old Xp... Vista will conitnue to ahve stupid bugs until some decent Serveice Package comes out for it

Used to work on Vista until the last few days? I bet your machine has downloaded and installed some horrendous patch from the Redmond behemoth that has caused your problems. I assume that Vista has restore points just like good old XP so you could try re-installing from a working restore point. You can always reinstate the current state if you wish.
